Typically, filters in hydraulic and lubrication systems are inline type. Filters are full flow design with short media flow path, and therefore are limited in resolution and dirt holding capacity.
Low flow/high retention (LFHR) filtration is the most efficient and cost-effective technology for removing contaminants from system oil. Media flow path is 30-50 times longer than that of impingement flow, in-line filter elements.
LFHR elements remove gross contamination (large particles, fiber, sludge and water) and also "polish" the fluid by removing silt and fine particles.
Each element holds up to 5 pound of dirt and 1 gallon of water. |
